What is Fly Ash?

Fly Ash, explained

Fly ash is the fine, grey powder collected from coal-fired power stations. Its tiny, round particles are rich in silica and alumina. In concrete they react with cement to form extra binding compounds — giving denser, more durable concrete that needs less cement, while putting an industrial by-product to good use.
